Why would Campbell's buy this key phrase???

A British supermarket sent me an email saying, basically, that if I installed their toolbar they would pay me for every Yahoo search I did through it. It is not worth the time it takes for the small amount of money they pay, but I installed it and occasionally use it to do the most inappropriate searches possible (for example - I got them to pay me for searching the Internet for "pictures of naked teenage girls").

Today I was looking (genuinely) for a steak recipe, and I thought it would be funny to make them pay me for looking up ways to cook dogs (I have the mind of a 5 year old and am easily amused). Look at who bought the top ad spot for "recipes to cook dog"! I never knew the marketed a sauce to go with that!!!!

I would tend to believe if you typed in "recipes to cook" that Campbell's would probably show up at top or is one of a number company's that rotate in that spot.

On the other hand, In Pennsylvania (a state in the US) plus countries like China, South Korea and Vietnam it is still legal to eat dog or cat, maybe their is a lot of people needing a good recipe to eat Fido ;)

Yup agreed, "recipes to cook" is what they're bidding on.

They're obviously marketing to rednecks and Asians. And redneck Asians.

Campbells is a smart company that leaves no stone unturned when it comes to marketing strategies of rooting out who might benefit from their soups. The rest of us could learn a lot from this.

Or maybe not....... We are in the porn industry, and the porn equivalent of marketing sauce to the "likes to eat dog" market is to set up websites for the "turned on by bestiality" market!

You never fail to crack me up ecchi, I'll give you that.
