Thursday 28th Of January - Ecchi has just found out that he has to be tougher than a lion.

I walk a friend's dog on weekdays, while he is at work. He recently bought a puppy, a young Rhodesian ridgeback. Because it is still a puppy and only needs short walks, he walks the ridgeback and I give his adult dog (husky) a longer walk. But when the puppy is old enough for long walks I'll be walking him too.

Last night I found out that ridgeback was bred to hunt lions! Now to keep a dog under control you have to convince the dog that you are better, stronger, more alpha male than the dog. And since this dog is better, stronger, more alpha male than a lion, I have got to be even more "better, stronger, more alpha male" than a lion.

I think I'm dead!

No dogs here, but my oldest cat of 19 years did die on Monday so I'm down to one cat.

My expected very high water bill came yesterday. Going to call them today to see if at least I can get out of paying the sewage fee part of it since the water went into the ground.

Went to the doctor yesterday for my knee. He wanted me to get a MRI of it which was going to cost a lot in co-pays. Instead I opted for a steroid shot and anti-inflammatory pills. Knee is already a lot better and I can walk again.

Just a day of work and knee rest planned for today.

Good afternoon,

It's been a fun week up until now. First an electrician came over to fix a bunch of stuff (since we bought a new/old house last year and our electrical installation failed to pass a visit from the electricity inspector, or whatever you call such a guy). A day later our heater didn't do anything anymore. Such fun when temperatures are around the freezing point ouside. Had to call a plumber to fix it, turned out that the heater overheated since the pumps stopped working when the electrician turned of the power for an hour. So one fuse later that was fixed too.
And then yesterday water strted to come up in our basement/garage. A pair of wet feet and very cold hands later I found out that the electrician had unplugged the water pump that is responsible for keeping our basement dry. Gotta love old houses.

Other than that all is awesome :)

Lots of work, work, work on the agenda and that's about it.

So very sorry to hear this.

Fonz, I remember when owning an old home was fun. Now I would just like to use dynamite and put an end to the "this needs to fixed" madness. Thank |buddy| that home prices are going up again for that is the only reason I keep it! I keep debating myself about selling if it hits peek highs again |loony|

Good morning/afternoon. Was in Ottawa this morning securing a new place to live as we make the move back to Ottawa from Montreal.

Bummer about the cat Cleo.
