Good Friday The 6th!

Morning! |waves|

I actually woke up in a really good mood! I just hope it lasts more than 3 or 4 hours.

Now new water in the kitchen, but then again, it is 10°F. Up into the 30's this weekend, so I'm sure it will return |pokefun||greenguy|

Working now - no other plans |thumb

Good morning. I have my first optometrist appointment this afternoon because my aging body has begun turning against me. I am also convinced that I have a massive brain tumor. Or maybe something worse. I'll let you know if I die.

So far this morning has kind of sucked.

The power brick for my main laptop died, but I had an old one that seems to be working. I also have the very old Mac laptop that was Christy's that she left here and I've been using for mail and web surfing in my bedroom and noticed that it is dead this morning. Not sure when that one died as I haven't used it in over a week.

Doing Foxy's updates and hoping that no more hardware dies anytime soon.

Good Morning :)

My back is hurting from the never ending work on the house so I'm going to take today off from doing that stuff which should give me time to finish watching the last half of the 3rd season of House Of Cards. That is after I do a bunch of biz stuff.

Last weekend I ordered a new computer. Today I arranged to have it sent back!

Bloody seller described it as a "tower" and when it arrived it was a "base unit". I'm planning to put it in place of an existing tower and move the old tower to my cinema, so that I can plug it into the TV projector and watch Amazon TV on the big screen. A base unit simply won't fit where the old tower currently resides, and I refuse to re-arrange my office just because a salesman lied!

Dumb question time: This won't work?

Probably would but I need a new computer anyway. Currently I the most powerful I own is only good enough to edit websites and do still picture editing - the biggest strain I ever put on it is Gimp. I need a more powerful one to edit films and add special effects if I intend to "jump professions" into the movie world. So I'll have a spare computer when the new one arrives.

Plus I only have DVD player not Blu-Ray, and the cheapest, easiest option to upgrade is to get a Blu-Ray drive for the computer (I already have the software - it came bundled with the DVD software I use), and if the computer is already hooked up to the projector I'll just have to slide the Blu-Ray drive in and I'll be good to project Blu-Ray films on my big screen.

Question Ecchi...where the heck did you find a copy of Windows 95 for your new computer?

Not sure why you think I would use 95 on my new computer, but if I did, it is not hard to come by such a thing. I have, for example, a computer auction site bookmarked and use occasionally, that specialises in computers from the 80's - but you do occasionally see more modern and up to date stuff on offer there, like Windows 95 stuff!

And anyway, 95 could be an "upgrade" for me. One of my PCs runs Windows 3.x and I have one awaiting a CMOS battery that, when I get it back up and running, operates on Ms DOS.

Just thought - there may actually be people on this board too young to even know what Ms DOS is!!!!!

The original version of LOR was created on a Windows 3.x computer at my buddy's house. That's why all my pages are .htm instead of .html |lol|
