Afternoon! http://www.link-o-rama.com/greenguy/...emorialguy.gif

Been up & slacking off for a couple hours, so I decided to update LOR & take care of some other crap since The Bitch is working til 9.

Hopefully no one here in the States is reading this on Saturday :)

Happy 4th, I...umm....think. I probably should not wish you well today as you are celebrating the day you kicked our ass!

England/Germany match on later. I guess G will be watching as he fancies the German goalkeeper |couch|

We had one hell of a storm last night. It had the decency to do it in the night, leaving both Saturday and Sunday daytime dry, for people who are not stuck in front of their computer all weekend, working. But a hell of a lot of rain fell in the night, and we had so much thunder and lightning that even Richard Dawkins decided God was angry!

My living room and bedroom are different apartments, and about midnight as I crossed the hall to go to bed I saw a guy who does not live here, but spends most of his life at his ex-brother in law's place here, looking morosely out the door. He wanted to go home, but he was walking and the rain was too heavy, not to mention the risk of a lightning strike. I told him it would probably blow over soon. But I was wrong. About half an hour later he banged on my door to drag me out of bed because he had decided to get a cab, and his 'phone was dead, he needed to borrow my charger to call the cab.

(And yes G, I did say 'phone. It may be the 4th, but I'm still not resorting to American English.)

Lightning strike? Really? I mean, when a big storm hits, yours odds of getting hit are probably better in a wee tiny country like yours, but come on!
Yes, that's all I got out of your post lol

Normally the odds are very low in Britain. Someone calculated that you are more likely to be killed by a meteor, but that did include the possibility of a "dinosaur killer" meteor hitting the earth in your lifetime. However Friday night's storm was extreme, record breaking amounts of lightning. I like storms, but I would not have gone out in that one.

(Probably all the fault of these polar bears who are melting the ice with their farts, or something.)

NOOOOO!!!!!!! Their farts propel them once they find themselves stranded on a floating hunk of ice 4 miles from land |thumb
