TGIF aka Last Day Of July

The summer is flying by, tomorrow it's August already. I have a friend visiting from Nova Scotia for the weekend with his kids, though thankfully his kids leave tomorrow morning with his parents, lol, so just him from then until Monday. I plan to keep working this morning for a bit, same tomorrow as I have things to do.

Took care of paid submits and going to head outside to work on the house, a never ending story of frustration. Thankfully humidity is up so this will be even more fun :(

Just got back from driving up the street to a neighbor's house. They think they found my lost kitty, but it took off already before I got there. He is hanging out in their backyard in the evening. The cat has been trying to get into their house each evening so he is going to call me when the cat returns.

Doing Foxy's updates and then not sure what I'm doing after that besides doing more laundry.

Supposed to be over 100° again here today, so guess what took a dump last night...
Yup, A/C not working, fan motor died. Repair guy supposed to be here with new motor this afternoon. Only good news, it's under warranty.

Running a bit late this morning from helping my gimpy Bitch get ready for work. Her foot surgery/procedure went really well. I got to watch, but it wasn't anything special - maybe a 1/4" incision followed by some very cold metal tool that's inserted to kill the nerves in that area. She's sore, but it's a different kind of pain from him digging around in there, so that's good |thumb

Feeling kinda upbeat today - must be the coffee :D

Still filling out forms for SSI, still putting crap on eBay, still working I guess...

If it makes you feel better, it hit 90° the last 2 days up here in sunny Buffalo :)

ISP problems, followed by FTP problems when I finally got back online. So I am not a happy person! And I am well behind with work.

My friends are using up free air miles that are about to expire, by taking a long weekend in Switzerland. So I'm back house sitting for them for a few days, and looking after the dogs and cats. This means the return of:


Got woken up by a new kind of novelty alarm clock this morning. It consisted of a Rhodesian Ridgeback jumping on the bed, dropping a squeaky hedgehog toy on my face, then growling at me.

Not sure this will catch on as a popular method of waking people!
