Had a shit weekend that mostly revolved around me building a ramp so Rufus Pip can easily go in & out of the front door. 1st, I forgot some basic algebra when I was drawing up the design for the ramp, causing me to have to scrap what I had already cut & start over (always remember, miter saw's cut 90° angles by default, so setting it at 30° means you get 60° cut |banghead|) So then I finally Jerry rigged it together with the scraps of wood I had (since I had no desire to run back to Lowes) and, while it wasn't pretty, it was solid & looked like it'd serve it's purpose. So I put it out next to the 7" step Rufus has to basically jump off of & up to get out & in and what does he do? Going out, he jumps right OVER the entire ramp! Coming in, he goes to the side of it & jumps UP the step. I tried putting him right on it & got basically the same result: he jumped off it and then up it |banghead|

Today I'm gonna try to work, then off to see one of my |loony| doctors...

Had a good weekend with the grandchild watching movies, WALL-E still his favorite, coloring and playing kick ball. He did inform me that he wants the second back yard cleaned up, I've used it as my personal dump site while working on the house the past 20 years, so he can ride his bicycle and scooter there by his birthday which is not till February so I got time and a deadline to have it completed.

Lots of work to do, I guess, and that's about it.

No woodworking here but I would like to set the hot-tub that I was in last week on fire since that is what my twat feels like right now.

I know better than to climb into someone's backyard hot-tub, but the owner was cute and really wanted me to climb in with her and friends. Next day I started feeling like I was getting a UTI. Got really, really bad over the weekend so first thing this morning went to the doctor. He links that I've got a MRSA infection on my butt cheeks and urinary track. Called in antibiotics and now I'm waiting for them to be filled. Plus sent out my urine for to be further analyzed as there was also blood in it

Other than that just a day of work planned for today.

Just had lunch and been up working as usual since 7am. Have to take the wife's car in for an oil change and put the winter tires on soon then after that basketball tonight.

When I was a kid, my grandmother taught me a prayer: "Oh Lord, please help me to think before I open my big mouth." When I ditched my religious devotion, I should have at least kept that prayer:

There is this guy who works lunchtimes and evenings (works in catering) who spends the hours in between shifts drinking cider in the park. He absolutely loves the puppy, and the puppy loves him. So when I pass where he is sitting we stop and he plays with the puppy for a bit.

On a Monday he usually greets me with "How was your weekend? Good?" He didn't today, so I greeted him with "How was your weekend? Good?"

Then I remembered that he is French!


Greenguy - The best laid plans of mice and men are doomed to be forever thwarted by the ingenuity of dogs and cats!

Cleo - My sympathies. To me hot tubs have all the dangers of an orgy but with none of the fun!

The public swimming pool is chlorinated, the ocean is salted - so both of these are disinfected enough for me, but any other bathing I do, I do solo!

Of course hot tubs have one advantage over the ocean in that in a hot tub you can't get eaten by sharks.
