As I mentioned elsewhere, The friends whose dogs I walk tried to contact me earlier in the week but could not as my 'phone service was down. One of them got worried that something might happen to the puppy while I was walking him, and I would not be able to 'phone for help. I pointed out that the odds were against this, and even if it did not happen, people love dogs - someone would 'phone for help for me. But they insisted, said they would get me a second cheap 'phone to carry as a backup. I agreed, you can get some very cheap 'phones secondhand, and I guess $15 is a reasonable price to pay for peace of mind.

They did not get a second hand one, and as to cheap - Yesterday I was handed a brand new iPhone 6, complete with fully paid up "unlimited calls" contract and 2GB data transfer per month.

They could probably have got a spare dog for less!



(And the first thing I did with it was open the browser to see what my test page for ClitPass looked like!
