Dude, danged long ferry ride!! It's about 10 hours by ferry from Turku to Stockholm.

As long as they sell alcohol, what else matters? Hell, you can just pee off the side of the boat |lol|

Yes, they sell alcohol both by the bottle and in the bars. You are not supposed to open the bottles though. Something about duty free. I don't think anyone really cares. And in the dozen or so trips I have made, I have never seen anyone peeing off the side of the boat. They are so touchy about the Baltic.. and well... it will just come back and spray you in the face.

When I was younger, we used to go on the ferry to France to load up with cheap beer and wine (really low purchase tax on alcohol in France - really high purchase tax on alcohol in Britain - so it is worth the cost of a ferry ticket once every few months if you can carry back several month's worth of booze with you). Always opened one case of beer on the boat back, and got absolutely hammered by the time we reached England.

Sometimes the guy driving us all back home from the ferry terminal got drunk too, which made for an interesting journey!
