Link List Owners, Do You Allow This sponsor?

I've been getting sites submitted the past few days pushing this.

http://www.****cash.com/

What bothers me is the WAY people are promoting it, they put a link to a movie that says something like download xyzmovie.avi here for free, yet when I looked at the site, they have to "buy" a downloader to view them.

And I don't like the term "ripped" dvd's. I know that just means they pulled them off a dvd and coverted them to be able to display on the web, but are they movies they can legally do that to?|huh

What do you guys think?

To the best of my knowledge all content on the **** network comes from legitimate sources.

Thanks Wazza, I think it is the misleading link that bothers me most, it seems like the surfer would think they were getting a free movie. Nice to hear it looks legit.

Any other feelings?

Hi RedCherry :)

I had the same reservations as you (for the same reasons)!

A close look at their "info page" is quite specific though:
Quote:

"We.... Bought hundreds of licensed porn DVD films on several languages, ripped them and put as legal downloadable free content in DivX format on network of high-speed servers worldwide. "
... and
Quote:

"free legal ripped downloadable on high speed porn DVD films with high bitrate and ready for CD burning!"
I think the term "ripped dvd's" is silly because it's just as likely to put off honest surfers who're looking for legitimate / legal stuff (not to buy of course - that's where we come in... hopefully - lol) but I don't suppose the original "ripper" (who was undoubtedly a geek) named his new technique with the poor overworked webmaster in mind |cry|

The suprising thing is that they use the term on a lot of their ad's - guess they think the meaning of "ripped" is now established enough in everyday use...
maybe it is... Yikes! you know you're getting old when that happens...lol

Considering my partner, Mad Hatter, rip's DVD's for work (he edits video, and one of the guy provides it on DVD's and we have to rip them to put them on the web) I was familiar with the term, BUT wasn't even sure if that is how they meant it...their ads look like they were trying to give a different meaning to it, lol. Maybe I just read too much into stuff.
