Been in just a bit of a funk lately. Seems the only days I was not funky were the days I was out cutting down Part II of the tree that fell:

The remaining part of the tree has to come down & we need a professional, because neither me or my neighbor are comfortable doing it with the power lines & house/garage so close.

Gonna force myself to work a bit...

Still recovering from being on really nasty antibiotics for a week, but starting to feel a lot better.

Other that that been working a lot and today finally got around to figuring why my backyard GFI outlet kept on tripping. Will be stopping by Home Depot later to pick up a new fountain pump for one of the two fountains in my backyard.

PS: Please email me some firewood from your tree. :D

We easily have 6-7 cords so far - too bad most of it is gonna be too wet to burn this season, so it'll sit out there til next summer when we split it all:

Just getting back in the swing of things after my hiatus.

Sorry to hear about the tree but good to see that you have to remove it all before the rest comes down on its own.

Huge storm here a few nights ago. Yesterday I go outside and find a huge branch blocking the sidewalk in front. Not as huge as that tree you showed above, but still huge. Big enough that people walking by will be detouring onto what's left of my front lawn to get around it, lol. But as it happens it's from a city tree on city property, ie; the boulevard.

I called the city at their 3-1-1 number. Said they'll be around to deal with it in the next 1 to 2 days. No wait... WEEKS. I'm in no shape right now to tackle a thing like that. 10 or 12 years ago I'd have thought nothing of demolishing that branch, but not now. Still in the post-surgery convalescing phase.

Other than that it's a hot humid sunny day here, got the A/C on, am sipping the last of the morning coffee and basking in the coolness... and empathizing about the "tree".

Been moved to a different hospital. The ambulance driver took a shortcut through a graveyard, tactfully showing the patients where their next move might be!
