2016.07.30 - Yet Another Sat Morning Thread

Good morning. So what do I know ...

I thinking I am going to take it easy today and do some house chores that I want to do -- not the ones that are needed.

Baseball is on this afternoon with Toronto close to first place and playing the team that leads them. I will either watch that or have it on in the background.

That's all I have. Have a good one! |thumb

P.S. My wife got hired by a consulting firm to do occasional assignments. Seems the young people don't want to do work in South America because of the Zika virus so they''ll be sending "barren" women like her to do the job. Nothing has come of it yet but she's been told that she's "on the list".

People here are getting Zika without leaving South Florida.

Up early to see my pain doc. Why I have ti go to one doctor for everything but pain and then another doctor jut to write me a script for pain meds is beyond me.

Speaking of pain... went to the music in the park last night and used my handicap car hanger for the first time. I had stopped going due to having to park so far away that it was too painful to keep going, but last night, due to having the handicap sign, I was able to park almost right in the event. I also get free parking at any parking meter. Can't believe I waiting so long to get one.

Going to a pool party later this afternoon which should be fun. Then up early tomorrow to go kayaking.

Good Morning :)

Had some family down yesterday and went to D-land again, 3rd time in 10 days, which I don't mind at all.

AC has been up and running and it's nice to have a house that has a steady climate in almost every room. We didn't run duct work into the addition because we need to rebuild it with a proper roof over it, thou I'm not sure when that will happen.

Anyhoo, enjoy your weekend!

Had the operation at last.

Very quick, I was only under for about an hour, and when I awoke it only took me a few minutes to come fully round. In fact it was so quick and painless that I thought I had dosed off in the prep room and had not been operated on yet!

Hopefully, this will help with your issues.

In the US you would have huge out of pocket expensies on top of what your insurances pays. Th ebills would keep on coming in for many months.

Curious how that compairs to how things work on your side of the big spinning rock.

So, you're not voting for Trump then?

No, I'm not voting for the spoiled egotistic reality TV star. Actually, he scares the hell out of me. A lot of similarities between his rise to power and Hilter's rise to power. If people vote for anyone besides Hillery, even if you don't like her or she isn't your first choice, Trump has a very good chance of winning by default. Not sure if our electoral college would actually place him in power even if he got the popular nomination, I have my doubts that they would.

I like Hillary a lot. So for me it's an easy choice as I've been voting for her since before Obama. Would also vote for Obama a 3rd time if it was allowed.

Yes, so far I have had four X-rays, three ultrasounds, an MRI scan, and one operation. I also get about twenty tablets a day and three intravenous antibiotics four times a day. By the time I leave I will have been in hospital several months and will have had several more operations. I also got picked up by ambulance. Total cost to me $0. The state pays it all. God only knows how much that would cost me in the US!

My only problem is I'm not working while I'm in hospital, all I got coming in is royalty on my book and a couple of sites I host. That does not pay much and I still have rent to pay on my apartment, local tax, phone charges, Internet connection (even though I'm not using it) etc.. So my savings are going fast!
