Domain or ISP email accounts
After reading in another thread the suggestion to go with a domain email I'm wondering if most LL ban ISP email account submissions?
Upon my first submission, after reading through all the rules, I saw that most automatically denied free email accounts, so I quickly set up my email account (which wasn't really being used until then) through my ISP bellsouth.net. But, now we're moving to a neighboring town in a couple weeks, and finally will be in an area that DSL is available (dial-up has been an excrutiatingly slow, painful suffering!) so we may be switching to adelphia for our connection. We will most likely keep the dial-up just for backup times. So now I can see I should have originally just gone with an email I won't have to change down the road. My questions are: Should I change now, while I'm still at the very beginning? Also, is bellsouth.net on the banned or auto-deny list for any LL? |
You should go with a domain email when possible. It makes this easier for you in the long run. :)

@bellsouth.net is not banned, but as I've already said in another thread I think it is a bad idea to use your ISP's mail account.
I would start using your domain's mail right away. The longer you wait the more of a hassle it will be. |
I say go with your domain email unless people specifically request your ISP email (some actually do).

Which ever one you use... PICK ONE and stick to it!
Multiple email addresses makes submissions suspect.. DD |
Thanks to each of you for the great feedback. As soon as this move is over, I will look into changing to my domain email and will do it for good. Until then, I'm hoping to submit a free site or two which will be with my ISP email.
Thanks again. |
