Question about sponsor links

Let's say if surfer clicks a banner or text links to sponsor and goes to that sponsor's FPA, is that accepeted?

1. Can that FPA be in the same folder and domain as the free site where the surfer clicks the link?

2. Do you count that FPA as FPA or as same as sponsor's site (as if link goes straight to sponsor's pay site).

3. If there is pop-ups or links to more FPAs, what about that?

4. If that FPA is in other domain, can there be pop-ups and links to more FPAs if answer to question 3 is negative.

Thanks.

I think most will tell you that once the surfer clicks on what is obviously a sponsor link, regardless of if it's to the sponsor itself, a FPA on the same domain or another domain, that we don't really care too much what happens after that :D

The only potential problem that you could run into is consoles - I assume some places have it in their rules that the sponsor can't have consoles, so if the FPA on your domain has consoles, then that would probably count against you.

Thanks GG. In these days of pop up blockers it is probably a waste of work time to put consoles to FPAs. I know that Maxcash has console that Google toolbar can't block, but how long...if they can build a pop up that blocker can't block, Google can build a better blocker...and others...I have heard that next IE has it's own pop up blocker....

I've been wondering if consoles should be given up on all together. If a surfer has several anti-pop programs installed, are they really going to take their credit card out for the one that slips by? ;)

BTW - I was curious and tried out Maxcash's pops on my browsers - Mozilla stopped them no problem.

I personally think that a free site builder who sends their traffic to an FPA via a sponsor banner/link is a smart builder.

You instantly have control of the pop ups and exits, which is a good move, and keeps that undecided surfer as yours and gives you the opportunity to give them other options that you decide.

Would certainly be accepted at any of my link lists.
