Monday February 25th (aka Hurricane Blizzard Aftermath)
Morning! |waves|
The Hurricane Blizzard was basically a bust for me. Sure, it was windy & our power went out for about 2 minutes, but we never got the 3-6" of snow the Weather Readers read about, so for me it was |zzzzzzzzz BUT... The Ice Boom broke & caused this on the Canadian side of the river: That's all kinds of |scared| Normal busy Monday for me. ASSIL, grocery shopping, bank run, scripts for mom...good thing I worked all weekend |thumb |
I went to bed around 3:30 am, but woke up at 9:10 am. I find that distressing. It also means I will likely spend half the day sleeping on the couch because I am an out of shape middle-aged man with nothing to keep my mind involved in what's going on around me.
Yesterday was a dark day for me, but today seems like it's starting off well enough. I may even do laundry. |waves| |
Good Morning :)
Nut much going on here but biz work and then gotta run a couple of errands. Wife is home sick so I may take the convertible out for my errands. That is really all I got so enjoy your Monday! |

For all you non-snow people, there's a quick vid on the top of Hurricane Blizzard so you can see a mild whiteout when I was out picking up the ASSIL |snowman2

Our snow is rapidly melting, and it is almost officially spring here in Finland. Temps above freezing night and day are just around the corner. It was only a short 6 weeks or so of winter. Not really very much at all. Our lakes are already thawing too. No more ice fishing or skating on the lake. My first year here, we actually took a drive out on the lake. Not this year.. no way.
Almost done moving some dozen WP blogs to a nice neat new home - far away from that nasty TGPx thing. A few more tweaks, and I can actually begin writing again. |
