How 2 use free hosted sponsor galleries, etc.
 

I need some opinions from the link site owners. How can or should we webmasters use the Free content and/or the free hosted galleries from our various sponsors?

I see many of you don't want to see free sponsor content used on our sites and out links to hosted galleries count towards the number of sponsor links (3 max.) per page.

What about simply linking our galleries directly to the sponsor-hosted galleries?

I for one don't mind buying content, and have purchased it on several occasions, but some of our sponsors have content that is site specific and trying to find similar stuff from the content providers ain't that easy.

Would really appreciate any and all comments.

Those are only for sending your own traffic to not submitting them anyplace.

Guess I didn't pose my question(s) in the right way. What I meant was, how to best use free sponsor content, etc. on our free sites that we submit to you guys. The kind of sponsor sites that I was thinking about were the specific nitch sites like: MILFs, Secretaries, Teachers, Busty Amateurs, etc.

You aren't suppose to use hosted stuff on the free sites that you submit to use.

As far as using sponsor content I'm probably going to decline a site for using it unless it is like an amateur girl/guy site and it is pics of that girl/guy.

Any free hosted galleries or sites would or should be had by the site you are submitting to. If they have to choose between linking your gallery or their own, guess which one they will choose? ;)

Thanks for your comments, but now I'm more confused than ever. Cleo says that she won't list a site with sponsor content unless it's an amateur guy/girl type site and if I understood Surfin, he was saying that link sites have their own sites using sponsor hosted galleries or sponsor content and don't want to list other sites using the same content. Is that right?

Hmmm. Well, would it be OK to link a sponsor hosted gallery to their banner on a free site? I'm thinking about a banner on a gallery page where the gallery pics were NOT sponser-supplied free content.

If I'm understanding you guys correctly, it sounds to me like the various sponsors are wasting time even offering their webmasters free content and hosted galleries.

You have 2-3 out links if you want to link one of those like "bonus gallery" or something similar that isn't blind that would work for me. :)

Yeah, you could do that.. but I personally feel that would be the best practice.
I would just link to the sponsor IMO.

Except that is breaks the rules of most of the "major" linkslists....

My rule - No site with a free hosted gallery as a "bonus gallery" will be accepted

GG's Rule - 11. The content must be on the same domain as the site.

and I am pretty sure the same applies for Murray, Cleo, Tommy, Alex, etc etc..

I'm not a LL owner, but thought I'd offer how I've been making use of the hosted galleries (I was wondering the same thing as you).

If you use one of your allotted outlinks on you freesite to link back to a "hub"--a free site that is a link list containing all of your own freesites and galleries--you can link from there to your own "link list" made up of your hosted galleries. The more effort you put into your hub (I have a pic and site of the week, among other little things), the more likely surfers will be to start thinking of your hub as a regular destination for whatever niche you're emphasizing. My hub has slowly grown over the past year and a half to what is now some decent regular traffic--not on the level of a big LL, but it's been a steady climb.

One thing about content, too. I only use sponsor stuff when the sponsor is pretty small and/or unique, ie. I don't see the content being used much. If you make searching for content providers a regular part of your routine, you'll find more content than you think for a whole host of niches--and at very reasonable prices. I use mostly purchased content, seldom have much trouble getting sites/galleries listed because of content overuse, and have rarely paid a price for a photoset that would not be more than covered by a single sign-up.

I said "for me" I know most LL's don't allow that.
