Work is pretty much the plan all day today and every day since nothing is open and we're not suppose to go anywhere |loony|

My daughter in Los Angeles still but we're now considering bringing her home since it's evident school won't be re-opening at all. They're working on students finishing their year online and that TOTALLY FUCKING SUCKS! It's my daughter's graduation year which entails a LOT. On top of graduation, there are suppose to be meetings with agents in the LA area, a showcase to showcase your talents of course and an entire interview process. NONE of that is happening now and graduation "might" happen this summer. That is what we call SHIT TIMING. 4 years of school all leading to graduation and there isn't one |angry| and the agent showcase with interviews etc is a very important process for the kids in transitioning from student to professional, we're not fucking happy to say the least. Many parents are putting pressure on the school to do the showcase in the fall once school starts again and bring back the graduates for that time so they don't lose out. 4 years of school was $100,000 and doesn't include 4 years of rent in downtown LA, not cheap, and living expenses as well. We can only hope things get sorted at this point.

They *will* get better, especially if we can all respect the restrictions. Painful, I know, but the idea is to slow the spread. The worst scenario is what is happening in Italy, where far more people need medical care than they can provide for and too many are dying without the care they require. Ground Zero in China has had no more outbreaks and the weather is warming. Both are good signs. I know that graduation will take place. Perhaps not on the scheduled date, but it will all happen. Scholastic traditions are not going away because of a pandemic.

Why not do video meetings if possible? I know, not the same, but better than nothing. This pandemic has us throwing away the old box and inventing a new one. Our government came right out and said it is the responsibility of the people to follow the guidelines. While those would be fighting words to many, to Finns, it becomes something of national pride.

A small chuckle -- Finnish schools are on distance learning. One small problem has cropped up - Finnish fathers who wander around the house in just their underwear. Seems Dad is walking behind the kids while instruction is taking place. All I can say is thankfully, the fathers are at least wearing something. The school did send out a memo.

It was odd grocery shopping yesterday. The stores were humming but no one on roads.

Same old here. I've got a mainstream website to work on thankfully and I hope to get to the updated TGPx script as I didn't on the weekend. We tape Jeopardy and are still catching up from vacation along with some sitcoms and SNL so we have a lot of TV to watch at night.

Doing work and watching tv. May go outside and work on house since the weather is a bit better but I doubt it.

Swedish government still isnt taking corona seriously, we might be in for a rude awakening - wifey has filled the underground pantry with long lasting supplies :)

I actually got up around 3, worked til 8, then back to bed, work, forgot to stop here, blah blah blah.

The Bitch want to get out of the house |facepalm| so I guess we're gonna do some running around when she logs off at 5:30...

@Ramster - I hope the parents can ban together and force the showcase to reschedule. Im sure, not knowing the school, that its in their best interest to have happy parents, happy students turning alumni.

Got out today. Everywhere is less crowded and people are trying to keep a respectable distance from each other. I;m wearing pollen shield glasses which also helps with the aerosol effect of the virus. Mask in play too. Hand sanitizers at every door and exit. I'm all sanitized out.
