Urb.. who is your Eurovision tip?

Europe must be the party place this week... a bunch of new states joining... plus the fabulous Eurovision Song Contest! ;-))

I just saw a clip of the Turkish entry... it's a rap song |jester|

They say this contest is bigger than Ben Hur up there.. so who is your hot tip?

urb 2004-04-30 01:35 PM

It ain't really my bag Opti :)

Greece's entry 'Shake It', is currently favourite at about 4/1.

And Sweden and Belgium seem to be in with a good chance too.

But I won't be watching it, or any TV until the end of May when Big Brother starts.

omg.. Big Brother starts here again tonight as it happens! And it is the reason I might turn my tv off until for a couple of months... ;-)

finnbear 2004-05-02 04:58 AM

I have only heard the finnish Eurovision song. They have showed all songs here, but I didn't watched. Our singer is a guy everybody think is gay and he lives in Sweden, lol! Being gay is OK, but live in Sweden, that's bad, LOL LOL! |bananna|

The Eurovision Song Contest we will watch, my wife is a fan.

Big Brother -- can't wait. |bananna| But I hope they choose a better group this year. They seem to go out of their way to select housemates who "get along". They need to throw a few homophobes and racists in there |raygun|

Last year was a flop, so I guess that's why they're pulling out all the stops and installing a big
kinky see-through shower ??? wtf do they think that'll do?

I agree they need to choose a better group this year. The facilities in the house are secondary.

The Belgian song sucks.. they've been playing it on every radio station 6 times a day for a month now.. I'm really starting to dislike it :D

It'll probably win then. :D

True, it's not the architecture that matters; it's the group dynamics. Nasty nick was the reason the first one was so successful. I swear to God I'll fucking flip if they create a house full of dozy-ass Camerons. Jesus, who are they trying to attract, grandmas?? It's just like movies -- conflict conflict conflict. Someone should send the BB producers to film school instead of finishing school. Maybe then we'd have ANIMAL HOUSE as opposed to Little House On The Cunting Prarie |raygun|

:)

Finnbear - Being gay and live in sweden is the same thing ;)

Don't put any money on Sweden's song, they decided to sing it in english and the chorous goes:

"Hurt, yes it hurt, yes it hurt...."

What is she refering to?? |rasta|

kristian 2004-05-03 09:14 AM

Someone ring Terry Wogan, he always knows who's going to win :)

Terry Wogan is the reason I am not gonna be watching the contest on TV.

As for your Big Brother conflict theory... I agree totally. Since the days of Shakespeare the British public have always loved dramatic conflict.

Heh heh heh...

Why the World Conference of gays is always in Stockholm?
They save the money from traveling

What is the most popular song in Sweden?
"I Have Never Really Loved A Woman"

What is the most popular reggae song in Sweden?
"No Woman No Cry"

What is the most popular song in swedish army?
"No More Lonely Nights"

Where swedish men go for a fishing?
To Gayman Islands

Swedish man was playing golf when he saw a big guy in a gown. Guy said "I am the good fairy and as you can see me you get three wishes"

"Well," said the man, "I want Ferrari, 10 million crowns and new fashion clothes"

"You get them" said the fairy "but first you must take your trousers off and go to your knees and I fuck you"

Man did that. After 10 minutes fairy was ready. He asked:

"How old are you?"

"55"

"55? And you still believe to fairies?"

Heh heh heh...we know.

The only reason I watch it is because of Terry Wogan. Much as I hate to admit it I listen to radio 2 and Terry in the morning. The only thing is he is on holiday again. If My kids and I don't listen to him while they are getting ready for school we get withdrawal symptoms, shakes and everything.|jester| |couch|

I like him too. Rarely listen to the radio but I always enjoy him when he's on the box. Very dry sense of humour. And I always used to watch "Wogan"; why they ever cancelled it, and not crappy Des O-Connor Tonight, is beyond me!

Well, I'm afraid our guy is one of those Swedish shirt lifters too. Lot of gays runaway to Sweden at old times, when being gay was still a crime here.
