Sad indigenous history arising lately with the residential schools, obviously :(

I am working now and plan to until early afternoon, after golfing the past 2 days, lots of work to get done. We have no big plans for Canada Day. I might go have a few afternoon |beers| with a friend while my wife does her golf lesson at 2pm then after, maybe a patio as we're not staying at the friend's place or maybe the cottage, who knows. Taking off yesterday from the house helped but still hurting though it does not matter as I need to put in hours today since I'm meeting up with a longtime friend from out of state tomorrow that I have not seen in 3 years.

I also have another longtime friend from another state that I have not seen in 3 years as well comes in on Saturday but we're meeting up on Sunday.

Then yesterday my mother told me she is flying in to visit family but of course it's the week of my jury duty |banghead| I have not seen her in 4 years.

This is all great but it is fucking with me trying to finish my house project before my mother-in-law flies in mid August |banghead|

You would think the pandemic is gone but noooo as LA put out recommendations to wear masks indoors because of the delta variant even if you're vaxed because it's spreading here mostly due to all those rednecks,#45 supporters and "I don't need a vaccine" people that live in California |banghead|

Anyhoo, better get to breakfast so I can get outside

Went on a "Canada Day" march in support of Indigenous peoples today. Ended up falling asleep watching the baseball game this afternoon. LOL I hope I can sleep tonight.
