Kind of a somber day after Yell's passing yesterday. Yell was not only Greenguy's brother-in-law but his best friend too and of course a brother to the Bitch. I met Yell not long after getting into this business, likely 2003? We all went to many Bills games and I went to a few Sabres games with Greenguy and Yell, he was passionate when it came to his teams! Great guy to say the least! RIP

I am planning to work all day, nothing more otherwise.

I did not know Yell at all, never met, but I do feel sad about this.
Seen a few of Greenie's pics and he really looks like the nice guy you all say he was.

My sorta grandson is here, playing with his VR set. Haven't been much multiplaying so far.

Good Morning :)

Worked a lot on the house yesterday while thinking off and on about Yell. He was a very nice guy that we met back in 2006 but we did drink and laugh with him a number of times back when we were flying out that way a few times a year visiting.

More work to do outside on the house as I only have 5 days before the MIL shows up |banghead|

Everyone talks about how nice Yell was. It's so sad. I've been thinking of Greenie and the Bitch. I know how tough it must be for them losing a sibling / BIL before their time.

Just getting ready for vacation that starts tomorrow. I'll be scarce here next week. We're going to Tobermory, Ontario in an off the grid cabin (solar / propane). It's a four hour drive north west from Toronto. Last time my wife was there she saw an endangered Massasauga rattler. Bet you didn't know that Ontario has poisonous snakes! Tobermory is one of the great places in the world to scuba, as I understand it. (You won't find me doing it.) There are many shipwrecks off the tip of the peninsula where Georgian Bay meets Lake Huron. There is a lot to see under the water.

It's a nice weather day here. Not too hot, and not much on the agenda.

I'll be running a few errands and that's about it.

Gloomy, rainy... it almost matches my inside mood. Losing Yell takes me back to losing both of my younger brothers in the space of 9 months just 4 years ago. I have lived so far away from them that I wasn't very close. My mom and my baby brother were extremely close, and saw each other at least once a week. Losing him first devastated her. Then we lost my younger brother and it was all over. My mom still grieves daily. There is absolutely nothing that replaces the loss of a best friend. Nothing. There is nothing that replaces the loss of a sibling either. Sigh...

MIL is also fighting some health issues. She's fully vaccinated but chose to go to a party with a lot of younger, unvaccinated people. Today she is not feeling well. The party was 6 days ago. I won't ask for prayers and hopes for her -- it sounds cruel but she made her choice even after she was told it might be a bad idea. If you stick your finger in the light socket, I won't feel sorry when you get shocked but I will help bandage you up.

My thoughts and prayers are with Greenie, The Bitch, and their families today. I honestly wish there was something we could do to make it easier.

Today and tomorrow are holidays. Tomorrow is Mountain Day. I think I'll go for a hike and hug me some mountain.
