MOnday, December 13th - rain washed away the snow

I think I mentioned it, but my main computer broke down a while ago, and I've been working on an old spare machine.

It was my mainboard that went down, and it's pretty hard to find a new one (that is compatible with the parts I got).
Today I managed to locate one, it's a click&collect one.
This means I have to spend the next 2.5 hours on a train + a lengthy walk. But it was cheap too (compared to other available), so it's worth it

That's where my day has been, and will be spent :-)

It really rained here too so, likewise, no snow.

I have no idea what's on my agenda today and I'll wait until I've had my coffee first.

Our tree trimming party was fun even though I didn't win the football pool. The Grey Cup game went into overtime which is always quite exciting. Winnipeg Blue Bombers won. Everyone was double vaccinated and we had a HEPA filter running. Nonetheless, we'll see if anyone gets COVID in the next couple of days.

Up early and working, the usual for me on a Monday. Working for a few more hours then going to do the drive to Nova Scotia (1430kms / 890 miles) to visit my parents for a week, and my brother and a friend or 2 as well. As Art stated, it's been raining and is unseasonably warm, no minus weather forecast until Saturday/Sunday. I usually do the drive straight, 14 hours but today I'm going to go half way and grab a hotel. The way back I'll do direct, it's easier driving west as I hit the clocks going back an hour lol, I can leave at 6am and be home in Ottawa at 7pm |loony|

Stomach feels queasy. Mood is fine.

Being a Buffalo Bills fan is rough. I almost gave up on them when they were down by 21 and looking back, I should've fucked off & worked, but I kept watching as they didn't get a Pass Interference penalty that would've put them at the 1, so they kick a Field Goal to go to OT & Tampa scored on their 2nd possession |facepalm|

Found out today that Xmas day will just be The Bitch & me |cry|

Just work on the agenda, along with a bank run...

F1 had a crazy ending to the season for the championship. Can't wait for Netflix series to cover this.

Spent a lot of time doing other things than working so that was kinda nice but I feel behind. Need to run out today on a couple of errands before the rain starts tonight.

Besides that it's the usual biz/tv/nap.

Good afternoon...

The wife woke me up at 5:30 which is way too early for me. Couldn't get back to sleep.
Drove my son to school, then got the tires changed on the car, then drove way out of town to pick up some gift baskets for clients.

On the definite plus, I had this great prosciutto and brie sandwich for lunch.

No hockey tonight, so maybe I'll play with the Oculus a bit and watch a movie.

Cold as a step-mothers kiss today.
