Vicious Link Submissions
 

Any other link l;ist owns been having a problem with people submitting sites with evil scripts embedded in them? I got one yesterday that loaded a ton of adware to my machine, I used Adaware, spysweeper and Spybot Search and Destroy and could not get rid of it....had to use the restore function to go back to an earlier version of my hard drive to make it go away, at least I hope it's gone. Then today first batch of sites I get a damn dialer installed...don't even have a modem.

Is it just me or are people getting malicious?

I never saw that many bad thing in submissions.. maybe one every 6 mths or so....

.but then again scammers and spammers have the brain power of a brick... so they may try anything...:(

third level domain
.org domain
doorway page
autosubmitted

My life got easier when I started to pre-filter shit. :-)

Well, the dialer script came from a .it (Italiy) e-mail adress and of course I banned it, but the really bad one that popped a ton of consoles and installed a bunch of bad stuff I am not sure of because I had to shut down explorer to get out of it. Oh well just an occupational hazzard I guess.

Also I don't have that good of link script program and have to rely on my own good sense to tell autosubmits, and all that mess.

Just a little update on this thread, I've been talking to quite a few other folks that have noticed a strong increase in the amount of adult sites that are installing malicious programs (dialers, spyware, etc.).

WTF are these people thinking? If they screw someones machine up bad enough they will get a sale?

Jeez, the market is tough enough already without scaring more people off, I think.

they probably dont care about sales... just about the number of scumware installs.

Is there anything wrog with .org domains. I got a .org domain and have been making freesites on it. since I never cheat and work honestly, I am getting listed most of the places.
But I am curious to know if you guys are blacklisting all the .org domains. May be that's the reasons I didn't get listed with you.

This stops most of the crap from installing and it is free. Don't forget to update it every week.

neo, .org (or other "off brand" domains) are not in and of themselves a trigger, but combined with other things on that list is an indication. A .org domain by itself isn't normally a ban, but there ya go.

I can't explain all the "why"s for this one, just something I have seen that triggers for me.

I spent at least 1 day a week to get my puter free of spyware shit and dialers, which all come in while reviewing, notice also some strange script things when i enter some free sites, i am foreign so i get that shit quick, its no fun.
