Bah, Belgium came in 22nd :(
The Eurovision Song Festival looked like an episode of "Neighbours" this year... ..."And finally 12 points go out to our neighbour..blabla" |
I saw that and all I can say is, eh what, a hot babe in a kind of caveman outfit and the song was something like if you mix manowar with maiden and turned it down a bit?!
Was wondering if anyone else had trouble hearing any of the lyrics from the non-english countries that sang on english, or was it just me? Well, rather fun to watch it anyway. |
I heard out of 320 votes cast..... Norway's entry got Zero votes! |jester|
I guess they didn't have any good neighbours :( |
Norway got 3 points..... We (Sweden) gave them that.
You know, good neighbors :( /Thomas |
For someone that lives under a rock and has no idea what "Eurovision" is could someone explain what this is?

Hi Cleo,
Eurovision is a song contest in Europe, that takes place once a year. Each European country chooses who will represent them, usually by having a national competition. In the beggining there were only 7 countries and it gradually grew to include most western european countries. After the brake down of the USSR and the ending of the cold war more and more ex-communist countries startet participating, bringing the number of competitors to around 36 or something ( including Turkey and Israel ). So this year, they had a pre-liminary round and a final round, where only 24 countries could participate. People from each european country can vote for their favourite song by calling in or SMS'ing with their mobiles. Mist : Ah damn.....didnt understand a thing of what she was singing, but she was...cute :P *wanted Greece to win* |rasta| |
