Index page review.
 

I'm hoping to get some opinions on whether this site would get listed based on the index page only. The sites not designed yet, I still have to get some content. The reason I ask is because I changed some recips to better fit my index.

So, would this get listed?

It would look better to me if all your recips were the same font and all either bolded or unbolded.

I think the way you set up the top table will count against the number of links allowed by many lists.

That said I like the color combo and the general style. :)

Thanks Surfn, I was thinking the same about the fonts, but I wanted to stay as close to the original style as possible.

Top table? You mean the ad to uwatchdvds?

Hmm... Probably too big, huh?

I wanted to smack the surfer in the face with it. Oh well, I've been having decent luck with their banner, maybe I'll switch to that.

Thanks again for your insights, I shrunk the top table down a little and changed the fonts of the recips so that they all match.

Downloaded Netscape and looked at it. Looked like crap, did some reformatting so it looks the same in NS as in IE.

I also changed my banner to ars4real to a softcore version. Hopefully it'll be enough.

The recips look much better :) The number of links in the top table may still be a problem, good luck.

I didn't see the 1st one, but this version looks to be ok :)

I think it looks great.... good job!

Doesn't look to bad, I like it better when the recips are not all looking the same but I would still approve it.

My thought although I could be wrong, is that when all the recips kinda look the same format wise it could reduce the traffic you might get (when I say you I mean me as the link list owner) from the free site, but I would still list it :)

Thanks for the input. I originally had it designed with the orignal fonts and kept the table formatting for the recips (I even kept Cleo's onmouseover color code, because I think it's cool :)).

I gotta agree with Surfn though. With 12 recips, it looked pretty sloppy with all of 'em different fonts and sizes. I could mirror it, and will be mirroring any other new sites I build, but for this one site I was trying to avoid that for link popularity reasons. If I have to I have to, but if I can get away with it this once... :)

As far as reducing traffic back to your linklist: I would think that having the links all the same format would put everyone on an even playing field, giving everyone a fair amount of return traffic. I don't know though, I'm just theorizing. :)

Good looking site. Nice layout, colors, etc. Looks like you put some effort into it.

I would count the top ad as a single ad, but some LL's, especially those using a script to check links out, may see it as 12 or 13 or however many are there.

You could create a banner that looks just like that table in Photoshop (or whatever) if that's working for ya. Then it'd just be a single link.

That's a good idea, I didn't think of that. I'll see what happens after I submit, if I get denied, I'll give that a go.

Not sure if you have already edited top ad.
If the links went to different sites, I would decline.
As I saw it just now, All the links have the same link.. so essentially one ad - though this would leave some reservation as I reviewed the rest.
However, the layout looks nice and professional, so I would list it... well ok, I'll wait and see what the content is.
