Is it me or does TGP traffic suck?
 

I have 2 listings on the hun, several on thumbzilla and other big tgps sites, and yes, I get pounded with traffic but it converts like shit.

I do better than 1 in 100 from every other traffic source so I know it isn't that the site is terrible.

I even stopped using galleries to promote my own site and have galleries now only promoting maxcahs sites, barely legal, iteens, ARS sites and still the same #'s.

Is this a HUGE waste of time? I know tgp surfers are the cheap fucks online looking for free peeks, but is the # of them without credit cards or the willingness to use them multiplying like fucking crazy or what?

I find myself doing less and less of it each month.

Traffic is traffic. It's what you offer and how you offer it that makes a difference. The same surfers who use search engines also use tgps; you just have to wade through more shit to find them. Over the past six months I've averaged 1:179 with tgp traffic. You either have to figure out how to make it work for you, or how to make it work again for you.

I don't think TGP surfers are always "cheap" or non-buyers... I think they buy less often mostly because of the way the content is presented.

Also, for any TGP or links style site... the easier it is to surf, the lower the $$ return per listed gallery/site will always be. A clean site will find it easier to send more traffic volume to offset this of course.

1:100 (or at least good $ returns per gallery) might be achievable from the primo TGP spots.... But regular submitters can't really expect to see great ratios selling the same ARS site a surfer has seen on 5 other galleries before seeing yours... no matter how good your sites are or how many clicks they attract... the top listed sites will still get the majority of all the sales per day.

I imagine the biggest reason for diminishing returns is more people working TGPs than ever before... and more TGPs having hosted galleries and private deals filling all of their most productive link positions.

I've found the quality of TGP traffic varies. For me, traffic from indexed and even searchable TGP's converts better than when all the categories are mixed together in a big list.

I think it all depends on what your promoting at your galleries, have something they have never seen will convert better then something they see all day. i had last week 3 galleries at the hun they did good but i dont promoot the normal niches.

I agree. Tight niches like shemales, hairy, etc. convert alot better at any of the TGP's including the Hun or similar ones.

Funny you should mention shemales. I get about 200 shemale galleries a day. Quite a few hairy as well. Scary a fuck!!

It doesn't matter what niche you push though. It's how you package the niche and how you sell it.

I don't get a lot of hairy shemales, but I do get a lot of the shaven ones.

I'm am drowning in mature versus young and pantyhose.

TGP traffic sucks if you're using oversaturated sponsors.

I don't use their galleries at all. I use my own content or bought content from people whom I know don't sell much of. I just use their banners or my own text links.

I am not using saturated content at all.

I am converting hun traffic to barely legal at 1 in 900 which isn't bad but it was 1 in 30,000 until i got a flurry of joins last night and this morning.

1 in 100? Good results. But in almost all cases you will see close to 10x the short term traffic to your galleries then you will to your free sites. If you have the server/bw you should be able to see good results without it costing you much more.

If you submit to a large number of tgps, say 50 using a mix of big and medium sites plus the niche sites too which is important I'd bet if you made 30 galleries and you made 30 free sites they would be failrly close in sales with TGP sales being higher but using more bandwidth. Of course the ratios wouldn't even be close but isn't making money the bottom line and not ratios?

Of course there are so many variables nowadays with TGPs too on saturation of the paysite you promote and the gallery design.
