I haven't ever seen it work... and a dead forum is very off-putting imho.

that said, Garv seems to get an amazing amount of surfer feedback on his sites like http://whale-tail.com .. but it's not really a link site.. more of a blog style thing.

I've thought about it before - you are leaving yourself open to a ton of webmaster abuse, spam, kiddie porn ect...

You would need to moderate it quite heavily.

Bad idea - IMO.

Pornmegabucks used to have a site called adultforums.com which had hosted forums.. I wondered at one stage if it wasn't worth linking one of those into a niche linksite as sticky content.

Something like that might be worth a try?

I tried putting up a Blog over at my LL. The surfers didn't seem to want to post and it got abused by spammers.

It's a bummer but that pretty much sums up my thoughts also. Forums are great for stickiness and SE but too much a pain in the ass on adult sites.

I'd be interested to see/hear how to make it work though.

I wish most days my forum would work!!! but that isnt a link list one....

seems like it would be worth way less then the work involved to keep it "clean". I wouldn't suggest it. Although I try to not to do nice things for my surfers untill they put money in my pocket. :) NO SOUP FOR YOU!
