Blacklisted Domains Sharing Thread
Do you guys really want to make life difficult for these idiots stealing our hard earned traffic?
Let's consider building out this thread into a global blacklisted domains repository. I bet guys would think twice if they knew all the major linklist webmasters were peeping in at this thread from time to time to grab the latest and greatest. Before I post anything, I want to get a sense from you guys as to whether or not this is a good idea. Any thoughts? Thanks, Marc hoes.com |
Sounds like a good idea. But on the other hand, if 2 webmasters are in conflict with eachother and one of them posts all the other one's domains in this thread to hurt the other one...
|
I would say the best way to resolve that would be to post actuals links instead of just domains. That way we could see the offender in action.
That should solve the problem you mentioned. marc |
Isn't this what we are already doing with the possible cheaters board?
|
I could always throw up a quick website that allowed webmasters to submit cheating domains and they could be verified by clicking on the link so they at least could maybe be sortable and webmasters could download and sort through whatever they wanted. IP address bans, domain bans etc.
Let me know what you guys think. I could whip something up pretty quick like. Andy |

Thanks guys...
I bookmarked the "link lists forum" and never bothered to venture back up to the root of the board! Yes, that's what I was looking for! marc |

Maybe the board needs a small text include that lists all the other boards. There is a drop down menu at the bottom of the board that does this but it seems to be overlooked a lot. |
You know, I just went through that entire "cheaters" board and only found a few domains to add to my blacklist. I think we could do a hell of a lot better if we worked together more.
Is anyone interested in making a better effort with me on this? If done right, it should be a very active thread. I for one know that when I run my linkbot once a week, I get hundreds of cheaters, redirectors, dead links and such. It would be nice to fend off some of these "would-be" cheaters by letting them know we are working together and basically his time would be wasted because he'll never get listed anywhere meaningful. marc |
That board was only created a very short time ago.
|
Yeah - give it some time, it's only been open 17 days :)
|
Yeah, 17 days :)
|
haha, ok guys...
Can you tell I'm getting frustrated with all these cheating fucks these days? I'll keep my eye on that thread and contribute to it. thanks, marc |

I think people would skip over the text the way they skip over the dropdown box. I don't think anyone visits the site and thinks there is only one forum. I just think they visit the forum that is most important to them. And...looking at our stats, there aren't really a lot of people that visit only one forum. It isn't really a big problem. |
