Who here finds thumb tgps less productive
Maybe its just me but I have noticed that I rarely get any signups from any thumb TGPS. I get lots of traffic from them but just about never any signups. The other type of tgps do pretty well for me. Anyone notice this

Of course they're less productive. The surfer is clicking a thumb that could be what? Teen, Amateur, Pornstar, Milf, Cumshot sponsor or whatever. As apposed to a TGP that categorized the links you know the surfer is interested in Pornstar when he clicked your link in the Pornstar category.

? There actually measure productivity on CJ TGPs..??
Now that is funny.... DD |

This is why most thumb tgps are either entirely niche-specific, categorize archives, or add categories to their thumbnails. For this reason, on the whole, they're no less productive than text-based tgps in my experience. Personally, I make more than 50% of my income from them, so no complaints here. :)

I know I make decent money off mine
when i first started it and still today I took 3 sponsors that I never premoted before and only used their gallerys on toms thumbs and I get checks from them, 120 here, 70 there now maybe these 3 sponsors represent 200 to 300 gallerys out of the 5000 in the database |

I had a friend who ran a 50k/day text link TGP. He switched over to all thumbs, and brought up his traffic to 80 - 100k/day. Bandwidth bill got a lot bigger, but signups stayed the same. |
There are some triocks to making money from thumb TGPs and while the actual clicks to galleries vs. sales is lower then on a good text based TGP you can get more traffic and turn that into sales.
The main thing is to choose your thumb wisely. Making a thumb of a cute girl's butt might get you plenty of clicks but doing that to promote an Interracial or foot fetish site may not make you a dime. On the other hand if you do that for a pantie or upskirt site you may find conversion ratios are just fine. Since BW prices have dropped I'm more concerned with actual sales then conversion ratios. If 1 TGP converts 5 times better then another TGP but the other TGP send 5 times more traffic then at the end of the day I make the same amount of sales. Yes the cost of sales is bit different but not enough to really matter. |

Some of our best producing affiliates are doing it with thumb mpg’s, so if you can stand the BW, maybe that’s something to look into.

MadThumbs is a pretty good converter for me, even when there isn't much traffic. Probably because their thumbs are categorized. Gotta take some time and make a nice targetted thumb though since it's like a small ad for your page.
