opinions on my newest gallery please
 

Hi all,
So, I was laying in bed, couldn't sleep and was thinking about a lot of different things. Then, as I was laying there, an idea popped into my head for a TGP gallery that was unlike anything I had seen before. It's probably been done, but it was unique to me at the time. So I built it, and maybe I am a bit partial, but I kinda like it, so I thought I would post it here to get some feedback. I know it is kind of a heavy page, so it may load slow, But what does everyone think of the concept?

It was submitted today, so it is likely a lot of you may have already seen it with your recip at the top. Anyways, if ya take time to view it and reply I would be appreciative.

heh heh, actually most of the fun I had with that gallery was with a couple of old musty programs I bring out from time to time called Bryce & Poser. I think I spent maybe a couple of minutes with it in photoshop itself, and yep, free transform is quite useful LOL

Couldnt sleep again last night, and thought up 2 more in this same vein. I wonder if there is a connection between no sleep and gallery ideas??? hummm does no sleep = good ideas for galleries? or does good ideas for galleries = no sleep?? whut a dilemma

On a side note, Surfn, I really really wanted to go to the midwest webmasters get together, being from the western part of oHIo, it would be between a 4-6 hour drive for me to get there, but it would have to be a drive to it, spend some time at it, and drive back meaning 8-12 hours on the road and whatever time I spent at the get together itself. So, with a great degree of regret, I wont be able to make it this time. I really really wish I could.

If you flew in you would spend about the same amount of time transferring to downtown. However, you could take the bus, and it drops you off within a block or two.. Relax both ways and dream up some new gallery designs |rasta|

Funny, only a few days ago I remembered this great site I found sometime in 1997 (long gone!) where somebody had designed a virtual porn 'gallery' with rooms to walk thru and each thumbnail hanging in a 'frame' on the wall. It was kind of hard to navigate because some images were on the walls of your (virtual) back so you had to manage a 180 degree turn... Would be a lot easier to re-create in Flash (I seem to recall that one was all Java).
