Cheating sponsors
 

Hi All,

I hate pointing fingers and stuff but its just something that really gets my blood boiling.

I understand that the sponsors want to make money too, but there are other ways to make money - you don't have to screw your webmasters!

I'm sure I get screwed everyday but its anoter thing to find out about it.. I'd rather not even think about it!

I dont get it? Exactly what is the scam being pulled?

The alleged scam terry is talking about is when a ccbill referer value is fixed in the source code of the join page.

This may knockout any webmaster referrer value that should have been sent to the signup.cgi page.

Also recently there was this huge scandal with a quite big sponsor that shaved like a mother #$# ... people got access to their admin area and dicovered that for example : 110 signups where reffered but that sponsor reported only 4 .

which sponsor?

just say, it was "allegedly" whatever-sponsor

Thanks for your replies to this thread. I really just needed to vent. Things like this really piss me off once I find out about them. I know a lot of sponsors do it and some dont... if they choose to then fine, I just prefer honesty. There is so much more I could yap about on this topic but I just wont go there.

No need for alleged as I have proof, it was Pibcash
I copied their entire admin section before it was made public.


I was pulling in 2/3 signups a day at some points and cedited for a big fat zero.
