Need help with phpadsnew

I attempting to use a phpadsnew to rotate banners on one of my sites and I'm having a problem.

Here's the problem.

Set it up to rotate banners in 4 spots on the page. When I view the page the banners load and are counted in the stats page.

When someone else loads the page the banners do not load.

I was orginally using javascript for the invocation code.

When I switched to an iframe invocation the iframe showed but with the error "Action Canceled" instead of the banner.

Does anyone have an idea what's going on? Or any advice on tracking down this problem.

Well they of not had java and you might want to try the php mode as well :)

Thank you for you reply.

Actually I tested that. The person I had check was using IE with javascript enabled. Plus the stats in phpads only show adviews when I view the page. The complete lack of adviews while I was on vacation is what finally convinced me that there was a problem.

I'm not sure what you mean by php mode I assume your referring to a local mode invocation. I need to use the remote invocation codes for this application.

Here is a test page featuring both the javascript invocation and the iframe invocation.

In looking at your source I see that it references the host ads.submittersrealm.com

I can't resolve that hostname here.

When I hard code that hostname to match the address of www.submittersrealm.com in my hosts file (66.230.170.130 ads.submittersrealm.com) then your invocations seem to work fine.

It would appear that you have a DNS problem rather than a problem with phpadsnew.

Hope that helps!

they both seem to be working fine now so it looks like the problem is fixed... to me at least :)

Airdick was right on.

I had fogotten to set the DNS for the subdomian phpads is installed on.

I'm suprised how fast the DNS info has been updated.
