Links to hub question

I know that all link lists have their own rules, but in general most do not allow more than 3 banner-link combos to sponsors per page.

My question is how does this rule interact with non-sponsor links say to other free sites on the domain and to a hub?

For example, say it is a teen site. Could I have a link table to two other free teen sites and one link to a hub?

Would that count as three links? Or one link?

Links are links, you get 3. Send them to a sponsor, send them to your own stuff, send them to grandma's front door, doesn't matter where you send them just as long as you don't have more then 3 links.

Thanks Cleo for the fast reply |rasta|

I thought this was what the answer would be but thought I should ask.

I've seen this method of linking suggested elsewhere and I thought that maybe it was not a real good idea.

So if I want to link to other free sites I should link to a hub rather than individual sites so it only costs me one link.

Thanks again.
