overture site match and ask jeeves site submit
been thinking about signing up with Overture's Site Match and/or Ask Jeeves Site Submit programs to boost the rankings to my sites (and hopefully traffic as well)
does anyone have any success with those programs? thanks. |
I attempted to use Overture ... they were so restrictive with adult content after about 20 rejected submissions I just gave up. At one point they took my site for one keyword ... but then rejected it for a different keyword ... claiming the content of the site was unacceptable.

You might want to wait for a bit on using those programs - there should be an announcement coming out "very soon" about site match :) seems its not working as well as Yahoo thought it would

being impatient, i signed up for both. i been both happy and disappointed with both services.
Ask Jeeves: happy: no pay-per-click cost and submission good for the whole year; usually rank in top 10 for "free hardcore porn", "porn movies", etc disappointment: it took over 1 week to be submitted' only to small SE like ask.com, teoma, etc; only a few clicks so far Overture: happy: fast submission (like 2 days); higher clickthrus; got listed in msn and supposedly yahoo (tried the search phrases in yahoo but no results although i see it in my logs) disappointment: clickthru cost; site not coming up when actually using the search terms my followup question is if i stop adding funds to Overture's pay-per-click, will my site still be ranked in msn and yahoo as it is right now? thanks. |
