Series Pics versus Mixed Pics

Most webmasters of link site's and tgp's prefer series pics on gallerys, but it seems like mixed galleries would tease the surfer more into joining a site. Any thoughts on this!!!

Cleo 2004-07-02 06:14 PM

It is easier to sell a fantasy with a series of pics depicting it then it is to sell it by showing misc pics of it.

MatrixFan 2004-07-02 06:18 PM

Diddo what Cleo said. Mixed pictures just makes the site look "messy". Series pics are better for sales. IMHO.

Surfn 2004-07-02 07:33 PM

About the only gallery/site that will work that is not series is big boobs. You can show a couple different models and get the surfer to buy. Other than that series work best in my experience.

I think that when you want to focus on the variety of the content a paysite has to offer, then you could try mixed pics:
big boobs with big nipples, big boobs with small nipples, ...
small asses, fat asses, ...
messy feet, manicured feet, ...
white stockings, yellow stockings with green bullets, ...

But on the other hand, this is also a bit tricky. You tell a focussed surfer that he only will like 20% of the content.

Myself I always use series and I have no plans to change that :)

Personally I find that series pics do much better unless it is something very specific like upskirt where a mix would be better.

Danielle

I do somtime use what I call "mini-series" where, if it's a gallery of 16 pics, I might put up 2 series of 8 or 4 series of 4. But for the most part, I stick to series on each gallery page.

Tuna 2004-07-05 05:19 PM

it may seem that way. but series do sell sites better than mixed sets

alvarez 2004-07-06 10:12 AM

I vote for series content :)

the New Shemp 2004-07-07 01:00 AM

only the shemp likes mixed pic galleries....

I did a mixed set on facials with 5 different girls of 3 pics each that did ok.

Facials/cumshots are PERFECT for my "mini-series" theory :)

If I was a surfer, I would definetely not want a mixed pic gallery.

the New Shemp 2004-07-12 01:21 AM

nothing better than 16 pics of the same babe, where she moves her finger or arm a little bit in each pic...damn freaking boring, but it's a series.......

that's right, and that is why samples of other series or 2-4 mini-series work great... couse they WANT to see it all...
if I was a surfer I'd like to find a pass to a paysite on every gally I see, but that's not what I'd give them as a webmaster :)

i think series of pics will give you more hits than the mix ones.

I go for sales myself. I can't deposit hits. :)

And I agree with Shemp about making the gallery move. :D

That is the downside I guess. It is real frustrating.

I have found for certain niches I make more sales to AVS sites that feature mixed sets rather than a single model. And there is no difference in the amount of promos, the only difference that I can see is series vs mixed.

I would suggest you give both a go and see what works best for your specific market.

Luke

I prefer series... looks alot cleaner.

Ms Naughty 2004-07-13 09:22 PM

I actually use mixed pics a lot to illustrate a theme. So I'll go through my content and find uncircumcised guys, or pics of couples doing it in one position.

But then I'm marketing to women so it's a different playing field...

I'm in agreement. There are times mixed works best, IMHO.

If I want to send traffic to a big amateur site with a variety of hundreds or thousands of different amateur models -- as opposed to a single-model amateur site -- I would think a gallery or a site with a variety of amateurs (to match the site I'm sending) would make a thousand times more sense than a gallery of a single model (and what if they don't like that model?)

As a matter fact 1) I think if they see only one model the surfer is expecting to see a single-model site when they click the banner. But they click, see a multimodel site, often with a tour that doesn't contain the model you were just showing them. 2) Had the surfer seen a bunch of different models and clicked through, and been taken to that multi-model site, they would have been prepared for that based on the gallery, and again, better chance of a sale.

But nearly every major TGP and many a big links list will reject that. I really hate stupid rules and that one is at the top of my list. It's pounded into everyone's heads from Newbie Day One to "match the content to the site you're sending to", but if you actually do that for a mega site sponsor then: no listing, no traffic, and a note back saying "we only list series". Rules that cost sales piss me off and always will.

That was my point exactly, certain niches do way better on mixed! Personally I find the series pics a bit boring at times.
