Can you believe it? I witnessed a bank robbery today
 

I was at our local store that has a small bank branch in it today at about 3. I checked out and some guy walked toward me with a hooded sweatshirt on and the hood was up. He had a bandanna covering all of his face except his eyes. And, he carried a garbage bag that looked kind of like a rifle. I looked at him and my mind must have been on vacation or something. I just couldn't figure out why anyone would be dressed like that :)

When I got to the parking lot, police cars came racing in. And yet, I still just drove home and told my wife about it. After thinking about it, I thought...could he have been robbing the bank? And sure enough...it was just on the news :) I just keep thinking that I should have tackled the little cocksucker :)

Doesn't really matter though...he was caught within an hour.

On a good note...my wife is thinking I could have been killed today and has been extra nice :)

It's funny how your brain works in situations like that. I mean, I was about 2 feet from him looking him in the eyes. And yet, I had thought maybe he was deformed or something.

I had a similar situation about twenty years ago, I was in a supermarket (grocery store to you) and was heading for the checkout to pay just as a couple of guys were walking in with sawn off shot guns. One of them pointed his straight at me and yelled 'get back' so I did what I was told.

It took me a couple of years before I was prepared to go shopping there again.

I agree...it is best I just walked past the guy. When I read the newspaper yesterday, I found out there were 2 guys. So, if I jumped on one guy, who knows what the other would have done.

But, I went shopping at the same store again yesterday and didn't even think about what had happened :)

In cases like that you should always watch the bag of money..... In case they ditch it so you can come back later and get it

Jeez, Jim, you sound just like me in situations like this. Granted, I've never witnessed a bank robbery, but my brain is capable of making vast leaps of logic when reality doesn't suit my current view of things. It's why I can totally buy that "Joe Schmoe" is NOT an actor.

Glad no one go hurt, and you got a cool story out of the deal!
