Do surfers care ?
 

Do you think surfers really care if your tgp page is really pretty or are they only interested in the content ?

I've just started making this page and although I was going to get a designer to put a nice logo and other decoration on it, now I am thinking that its fine without.

I'll be replacing the Asian links with actual descriptions and I'll be adding another table of thumbs....

All I know is that search engines can't read the text off an image :D

I think surfers do prefer an attractive well designed page but as Greenguy said SEs are blind to images.

Obviously savvy surfers don't really give a rat's ass what a site looks like. Look at The Hun...I don't believe he has changed his design in years. But, you have to wonder if webmasters care more than surfers. Are they going to want to link to a site they don't like the looks of? I love a good Orange or even Yellow but, I just don't care for the "Hun" yellow you picked out. I know, it's not the same color but...close enough :)

I'm not crazy about all thumb TGPs. I think the traffic is much poorer as the surfer often doesn't know what they are clicking on. Like is that a pretty face of a babe or tranny, no way to know without clicking on it. :(

GG - Good Point. I hadn't even started with the SEO side of things. I do plan to utilise meta tags and a few other legal tricks to help with SEs.

Jim - You know I hadn't even thought about my colour being close to The Hun. I'm not that keen on the colour myself either. Time to look at a quick change.

Cleo - Originally these sites where planned to be all Thumbs, but now I've decided to make it a combination with thumbs at the top and text links at the bottom. Seeing as the sites are all individual niches (aside from the main hub which is multi category and 90% text) I don't think there is a problem with the thumbs...
You won't see a tranny on any of the sites except of course my tranny tgp :-)


I had a logo designed for http://www.findporn-cumshots.com so for branding consistency I may have to have a similar logo for all my 30+ sites....

Id make the text at the top of the page smaller less intrusive it didnt do anything for me and you only need it for search engines. Id change the colour scheme to personal opinion but that colour puts me off straight away for some strange reason.

I think a site has to look reasonable but its the content linked to that matters a shit design though could put them off even checking the site out.
