Extreme Paychecks

Is this site working for anyone?

http://www.extremepaychecks.com/

Been down for me for a few days.

Rictor 2003-09-22 04:05 PM

I was sending traffic to a couple of their sites and those are down too.

JenC 2003-09-22 04:10 PM

Works fine for me

Rictor 2003-09-22 04:18 PM

Well, there must be a DNS or routing issue or something. I'm on Time Warner Cable here in Indianapolis and I also can't access them from the office where I use Comcast cable.

It works over here too... and I'm far away :)

Working fine for me too.

Sounds like it is time to do a traceroute and bitch to your ISP.

See if there's a major router down in your area:

However just because you can't see it isn't a big deal. The odds of your surfers being in your same area and not being able to see it are slim, so I'm sure you'll still be getting sales.

Looks fine from Chicago Comcast.

amadman 2003-09-22 05:53 PM

I think the 'Net is screwy lately - occassionally I'll have a problem with a site, complain that it's down - only to have it come back up within a few minutes.

Definitely DNS issues at work all over the web lately... growing pains???

Kath, I think it's probably the worms. As one server in a line gets hit hard, it pretty much screws up that line.

I've been seeing lots of places I can get to one moment, then not for hours, then everything's find again. Just lots of screwy stuff for sure!

I can access the site from the office now. Still can't access it here at home though. I guess it is limited to Indianapolis Time Warner customers.

Extreme John 2003-09-24 07:44 AM

Hmm Rictor, Im going to go over it with my host today just to be 100% sure :)

Do you have Nortons or some other firewall settings that might be blocking it?
