big problem
 
has anyone else had problems doing searches on search engines? every time i go to yahoo google or msn i get this error

all other web sites work fine.
ive tried 3 antivirus programs spybot search and destroy, hijack this and cw shredder and still cant fix this problem

Download and run tools like adaware - it sounds like you got hit with some malware that is attempting to redirect you to another site, which has been taken down.

Clean you system and see what happens.

thanks for your input Alex I had already tried adaware and it found a lot of things the other stuff didn't find but the problem was still there. what happened is one of those scumware programs had changed my dns entries once i found that and made it right everything was back to normal. I have lost 4 days of work in the past 2 weeks because of this crap its starting to really get on my nerves.

check your hosts file also under the windows/system32/drivers/etc - to make sure there are no entries in there - I also usually do a search of the entire computer to make sure no other programs have created new hosts files :)

I like to use bazooka its free and finds alot of stuff others don't and when it does it tells you haw to remove it.I run it everytime i install something.
