Are Sigs Still a Viable Source of Advertising?

***I posted this on another forum, but haven't gotten any replies. Hope posting this here will get at least a few.***

Have any of you found, since all the sig selling/whoring, that the number of clicks through your sig have diminished?

Have the number of signups you get decreased?

What about the quality of the sign up? Have they been more/less active or stayed about the same?

Sigs are a waste for the most part unless you are a big name player. Some big names get decent money but others get $200/month and crap like that.

Wouldn't you make more money building a gallery a day for an hour and submitting it then posting on some webmaster board for that hour to get the sig impressions you need to have that $200 renewed next month?

Seems silly to me. If you are posting anyway, ok fine. But if you are just posting to get your sig seen, get a life.

I have to agree. I don't see a very high return on them at all.

taboo gal , how you doing long time no chat .
I don't really think Sigs are worth it if there is to high of a price tag . Right now I offer free shirts for their sigs on some boards . Its not bad I have got some responses so there are people that is interested |peace|

well i guess to some people sig still worth it advertising but for big players in the industry i don't think they still need to use sig to advertise.
