BB thieves
 

Hi guys
I just found bb's stealing my images. Luckily i now have htaccess protecting them but wanted to check something. Is it a breach of copyright that they do this?? They were hotlinking them and when I blasted them this is what I got

"Ok Nat, give me your url so I can see what kind of rules you have posted about hot linking... "

What do I say to that? I don't need rules!

Since it's alreay done, I would tell him to go fuck himself.

I would have just added the htaccess and redirected everything to a sponsor or to trades and not said anything. Let them give back a little of what they took.

I would load every image they have on their site at 1x1 on the bottom of my index page & see how fast their server crashes :D

This makes more sense though, take 15 minutes to get their images, and take the whole damn server down.

Its seems some hotlinking their own images and talking to their host had some big effects. Two hours after i went there its gone.

Another thing you could do is rename the file you are using, and with the hotlinkedpic.jpg they are linking to replace it with the attached.....

And there's nothing more annoying than a huge jpg on a message board so you have to scroll right.

This one is a nice one.......

Greenguy's latest avatar may also scare the shit out of them. Maybe you should attach it to any C&D orders in future.

after reading this, I did a quick review of my domains and found an old domain that was being hotlinked (oops, missed putting up the htaccess anti-hotlinking script for that one domain). I found about 10 asian bbs systems were sucking up my bandwidth.
