Someone just tried to break in to my house.

So I'm getting into the shower when I hear someone knocking at my front door. I looked out at them and when I didn't recognize them, it is not unusual to get solicitation, I didn't answer the door and instead got into the shower.

I'm in the shower when I hear my back door being broke into so I jump out of the shower, go to grab a weapon that I keep handy, but he ran away looking very scared by this big naked woman chasing after him.

I called the cops and they were about as useless as they usually are. Came in, got mud on my white carpets, asked me a bunch of dumb question and then said "so he didn't actually steal anything then" and left after giving me his card.

Hmm, that's breaking and entering...you should have shot the fucker!!!

Torn Rose 2004-08-06 01:43 PM

urb 2004-08-06 02:00 PM

:(
that's terrible :(

Cleo 2004-08-06 02:11 PM

I don't own a gun but a 24" machete does do some major damage.

kristian 2004-08-06 02:20 PM

Not wanting to make light of the situation, I only broke in so I could give you a back rub :D

Bill 2004-08-06 02:25 PM

Wow. Not owning a gun.

What a concept.

Time to slap some fake cameras over your doors, with a nice little "You are being Videotaped" sign on your front door.

Congrats on chasing the bugger off.

Cleo 2004-08-06 02:30 PM

My house has an alarm and does have cameras at time, depends on if I have a web cam hooked to one of my computers and it is turned on.

I don't believe in guns, but I do have six bullet wounds so it isn't like I don't know them.

I've gained an all new respect for you. Plus, I'm just a little afraid. (And most women complain about stretch marks...)

Kristian - you kill me!

Alphawolf 2004-08-06 02:41 PM

A good well trained attack dog maybe?

That sucks anyway. Is your house fairly secluded from other houses?

grzepa 2004-08-06 02:50 PM

That sucks big time :( Ever thought of buying a dog ? I mean like pit-bull... or rottweiler ?

Cleo 2004-08-06 03:02 PM

Lots of houses but with lots of big trees and fences so everyone's backyard is very private even if your neighbor is only fifty feet behind you.

I keep my car in my garage so there is no way to tell if I'm home or not.

I have cats so even anyone tries to break in they have my cats to deal with. :D

The almost six foot crazy redhead with a very sharp machete and other weapons hidden around my house who grew up in the Latin Miami streets is kind of a problem to anyone that breaks into my house while I'm home. I'm pretty vicious and ruthless if I'm fucked with, I just kind of loose it when I go into survival mode.

I don't think that they will be back. They did spend a lot of time knocking at my door before they decided that I wasn't home only to find out that I pretty much ignore my door unless I know you.

Actually I would love it if he returns while I'm home. I have something to settle with him for making me spend a hour fixing my screen door and cleaning mud off of my carpets.

The problem with that is you don't get the satisfaction of seeing their blood flow from their wounds but I guess there is less cleanup afterwards with no limbs having to be put in baggies.

Glad to hear you're ok :)

You see, this why I both FEAR and RESPECT you.

One can of floor cleaner for removing mud, $5.

One replacement screen for back door, $10.

Having to have your carpet replaced due to burglar being dismembered by homeowner, priceless.

good to hear he didn't get anything and I guess he was lucky he got out so fast :)

Glad to hear you're ok, Cleo..
My b/f's brother is a biggy in the police dept in Middletown, NY..
He told me that if ever someone breaks into the house, and I have to shoot them outside (we have a few guns here for bears and stuff), drag them into the house before you call the cops..That way it's legal (you shooting them inside the house while they burgel from you). If you shoot them outside, well it's not legal..

I've always found it best to drag them into a neighbor's house. Less paperwork.

Cleo 2004-08-07 12:01 PM

Just bury them in your backyard. No paperwork at all and makes great fertilizer.
