Any word on Traffic Cash Gold?

Anyone know when Traffic Cash Gold and their sites will be back up? They've been down all morning. Ocassionaly I get a page saying that they are updating, other times I get an Apache 404.

Someone hold me. I feel scared.

Here's the email reply I've received from Laura Lee for anyone else who is wondering:

Hi there,
We are experiencing some issues on the Tech end. We will be down for
another few hours. I will be crediting whatever you would normally
average plus 10%.
I am very sorry about this.
Laura Lee

I like that they are giving you the average plus 10%. Not all programs do that when they have problems.

TCG is awesome. That is the only reason I know I they're down. They convert best for me, so I've become addicted to their stats panel. Damn them!

(ignore my sig for today...)

Paris Hilton vs. Google?

I just got this in my email. I thought it was interesting and somewhat alarming:

Google has been notified, according to the terms of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), that some of your webpages allegedly infringe upon the copyrights of others. The URLs of the allegedly infringing webpages may be found at the end of this message. The notice that we received, with any personally identifying information removed, may be found at http://www.chillingeffects.org/dmca...i?NoticeID=1330

The DMCA is a United States copyright law that provides guidelines for online service provider liability in case of copyright infringement. We are in the process of removing from our Google Web Search results the webpages that allegedly infringe upon the copyrights of others. If we did not do so, we would be subject to a claim of copyright infringement, regardless of its merits. See http://www.educause.edu/issues/dmca.html for more information about the DMCA, and see http://www.google.com/dmca.html for the process that Google requires in order to make a DMCA complaint.

Google can reinstate these webpages into its web search results upon receipt of a counter notification pursuant to sections 512(g)(2) and 3) of the DMCA. For more information about the requirements of a counter notification, and a link to a sample counter notification, see http://google.com/dmca.html

If you have legal questions about this notification, you should retain your own legal counsel. If you have any other questions about this notification, please let us know.

wow wonder what happened?

Jim 2004-08-10 09:06 AM

Damn...still down. I would think it was time to worry.

Useless 2004-08-10 09:48 AM

|cry|

Yeah, I'm a little lost at this point. Seems to go beyond the usual lost a hard drive or minor security problem type scenarios. When the webmaster site and their 40+ paysites are down for more than a day, I cannot even imagine what went wrong.

Kezza 2004-08-10 09:53 AM

Ditto on the |cry|

Oddly enough, their hosted galleries are still up...

This really sucks that TCG is still down. They had been doing pretty good for me and before this downtime they were doing really good and getting better...but now this.

I hope TCG gets back up soon though.

RawAlex 2004-08-10 01:09 PM

I checked wannawatch.com and xxxproposal.com - while they have the same name servers, the IP addresses are a different class B, and traceroutes give me two totally different routes. The paysites are not accessible to me, I get dumped somewhere in the middle of level3.

More than 24 hours is a scary number.

Alex

CybrFire 2004-08-10 01:25 PM

24 hours gets iffy, but if it hits 48 hours...then the shit has hit the fan and it can't be good at all.

Maybe some servers just blew?

guitar riff 2004-08-10 02:32 PM

Would be cool if someone from TCG Would come here and post a message on status of whats goin on.

guitar riff 2004-08-10 06:17 PM

Damn still down aint lookin too good

Useless 2004-08-10 06:36 PM

Yup. It's getting ugly. How long does one wait till you start replacing banners and links?

Ramster 2004-08-10 07:35 PM

BT posted at GFY that they had both their main and backup Network Appliance machine that operates all their drives crashed and they are frantically working to get things up and going again.

He said they will be back so pull links if you want until they are but they will be back...so they say.

Kezza 2004-08-10 07:37 PM

I spent all last week changing out Maxcash codes to TCG :(

(Maybe this is all my fault and I put a jinx on them)

But 48 hours is too long and unfortunately I am starting to change codes and banners... again :(
