Is it just better if I get rid of the links on the last pages of the tour in that case? The links are controlled by SSI, so...

I read somewhere that linking to sites on 'doorway pages' or 'deeplinks' is detrimental to search engine rankings. Is this right?

The last update date is automatically generated but someone has to do something to the listed sites to change the date.
