It seems that most want an index page, and it's pretty easy to just make a new folder inside your main folder to stick them in. That's what I do and have never had a problem.

I usually just use photoshop to make a nice looking title and then maybe stick a banner or some text with the site im promoting in it and never have had any problems.

That's the only thing I could think, and I can live with the last 2 weeks of galleries being removed as long as changing hosts isn't going to cause future problems.
