Maybe we keep bringing it up because not everyone checks their sites before submitting. And we see a lot of fuck ups caused by software like that. And often those submitters end up on the blacklist.

You know you can and should put ads on your index page, when I check my stats thats where probably 1/2 to 3/4 of sales come from. Also you can have 3 sponsor links per page, you may as well use em....
