Same shit happens where I live. I had a guy come out last year to fix our furnace. He said he needed a part (the furnace worked when he left, but he needed a part for a fresh air return or something). He said he needed a check for $125 to get the parts on top of what I paid him to fix the furnace. So I wrote him the check, this was October 2003, still no part. I called him numerous times and got the run around, I gave up and just took the $125 hit.

It seems here you cannot get people to work because most of them are on dissability (although they shouldn't be). So they figure why work if I can get paid for doing nothing. I had a guy working around our house last summer and he had to quit because he felt someone might see him working and he would lose his dissability. There was NOTHING wrong with this guy. He was lifting heavy stones, doing yard work etc. It's amazing. I think we as a nation have just become lazier over the years is all.
