Don't do it unless you want to spend more time tweaking and adding features than doing stuff that actually makes you money. Of course it's convenient to have done it yourself and know how it works, but it takes a lot of time. There's scripts out there that doesn't cost a fortune and will do everything you want a script to do.
And it doesn't take a few days to make a solid script, trust me
