i swear by spybot.. and if you have that coolwwwsearch horrible trojan.. go to their forum and it will give you step by step on how to get rid of it. it's a tedious procedure but print the instructions and it will be gone...much better than reformatting..
I have Norton running 24/7 and spybot still catches what Norton doesn't.
