Find the number for the Public Utilities Commission in your local phone book. Call and ask for the person's name that handles complaints regarding the phone company.
Call repair, tell them that this is your third call and you want to speak with a supervisor. When the supervisor gets on the phone, get their full name and contact number. If they decline, ask for their ID # for your records so you can document this for Mary Jane at the PUC. Explain that your phone service was working on one phone but not the other, the Tech came in to fix the second phone, and now the first phone isn't working. You were then told that it was an inside wiring problem and that you would be charged. Since the technician broke it, you feel that Verizon should be responsible for leaving the phone service in working condition. Tell them that you will arrange your schedule so that the technician can get out there today to repair the service. Ask for them to look on the prior ticket to get the ID number of the technician that did the initial service and to have a technician call you within a half hour to schedule a time.
My guess is that they will waive the service fees and get a technician out there by COB tomorrow to fix it.
Verizon sucks, but didn't you have Nynex before? haha
