Morning all, I am formatting my laptop today; I backed everything up last night so I will be starting in a few minutes. I have wanted to do this for a while but the timing was never right.
This thing has slowed down so bad it literally took 2 mins from the time I clicked on the icon to open word last night and on ICQ I was typing faster then the words would appear on the ICQ.
I tried all my virus checks and nothing is found, I've defrag the hard drive, and cleaned the disk and what ever else I could think of, so this is the next step.
Nothing worse then waiting minutes for a program to open that should take 5 seconds the most.
Hopefully I'll be back in a few hours; I have 2 other pcs to surf with so it shouldn’t be too bad....
The irony of this is it locked up on me last night when I was backing files up and I had to hard shutdown, I have my pc on the “silver” theme instead of the “windows blue” and when it rebooted it was in “windows blue” and now it is loading/working as fast as it should be, but fuck it, I’m still doing it.
