It's a good idea to go for a blend. When you're first getting started, those per-sale programs are very nice. Later, though, you'll be very glad if you incorporate some partnership programs in. I'm having a pretty lousy month for sales, and it's the rebills that are keeping me from completely tearing my hair out.

I still promote PPS; I just build free sites more for the partnerships proggies (not solely, but primarily). Eggs, baskets, blah blah blah.

Ah - just re-read and realized you're just getting BACK to site building; not just starting. So you know of what I speak.
